The 2018 Ford Escape has the road ways of another type of car but do not worry, it still functions as a crossover. The Ford Escape 2018 is doing its best to refuse the credentials of its heavy-duty companies. It’s a cross-country SUV on a mission, but the Escape wants to be driven like a sports hatchback.
As a report, do not look for significant changes visually. Inside, we do not foresee any dramatic update. That said, the interior could probably use a refresh. Expect the standard features to remain the same. For reference, the current Escape comes standard with 17-inch steel wheels, automatic headlights, LED taillights, Ford MyKey, cruise control, a 4.2-inch center screen, a backup camera , a six-speaker audio system and more.
The current Ford Escape is available with three engines. The basic engine is a 2.5-liter I-4 with 168 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. Optional engines include a 1.5 liter EcoBoost I-4 with 170 hp and 177 lb-ft and a 2.0-liter EcoBoost I-4 with 245 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. All engines are coupled to a six-speed automatic. The front drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional.
We expect production of the 2018 Ford Escape to begin in August and deliveries begin in September. As a carry forward, we do not expect the Escape price to go too far from the current model, which ranges from $ 24,645 to $ 31,895
