Nissan unveiled the new Qashqai in Europe, bringing fresh style, improved enhancement and more technology to the very popular small SUV.
Externally, it is easy to tell the updated 2018 Nissan Qashqai from the one currently available in the showrooms. At the front, there is a front fascia deformed with the latest version of the company’s V-grid. There is also a new hood and new headlight units, which can be specified with adaptable LED lamps. Basically, the Qashqai features new bumpers and revised graphics for the taillights. As for the interior, there is a revised interface for the NissanConnect Entertainment System, a new steering wheel design and updated trim and material options for the dashboard.
In Europe, the updated 2018 Nissan Qashqai will be available with the company’s first-generation ProPilot stand-alone driving system, which allows the car to steer, brake and accelerate in a single lane on a road. At this level, a new high-end The Tekna + trim range of the range will be available with quilted Nappa leather seats, chrome-plated satin highlights and a seven-speaker Bose sound system. Other changes include a thicker rear lens, better cushioning materials, pedestrian detection for the automatic brake system, and new designs of 17, 18 and 19 inch alloy wheels.
As for engines, Nissan will offer European customers the choice of two discs, including a 81kW 1.5 liter and a 1.6 with 96kW, as well as two petrol units including 85kW 1.2 and 120kW 1.6.
The new model will go on sale in Europe from July, with Australian details yet to be announced.
